Practical tips to support energy diary work

A description of the calculations the spreadsheet uses. For information... the spreadsheet is set up to automatically do these calculations!

With on-screen instructions this makes calculating your energy consumption, costs and carbon emissions easy. Summary sheets provide information for comparison and fun facts and figures to help pupils visualise the amount of carbon dioxide being produced.

Activities linked to the monitoring of school and classroom temperatures. Provides good basis for data collection and presentation learning and also provides material for persuasive writing and other work. Action to reduce the schools impact on the environment requires the co-operation of all the building users. This document provides a basic template for a policy agreed to by key members of staff and pupils.
