Now reaching its conclusion, Clean Drive was a three-year project which was designed to increase the sale of energy efficient, low carbon emission vehicles.

Severn Wye worked with a range of organisations to target car dealerships and car hire rental agencies, to help them sell the benefits of fuel efficient cars.

And recent research from one of the leading voices on green transport policies, Brussels-based Transport & Environment, shows that most European car manufacturers are on track to achieve 2015 emissions reduction targets, several years ahead of schedule. They're also expected to meet 2020 targets.
