Developing energy efficiency services
Partnership working is a significant part of the work we do at Severn Wye, and we are always looking to build and develop relationships with organisations at all levels.
At a local level we work with a group of local authorities across the West of England and Wales, individually and collectively, to run a series of affordable warmth, energy advice, retrofit schemes and other initiatives.
Regionally and nationally we work with businesses like Willmott Dixon or bodies like HM Prisons to run events, training, energy auditing schemes, retrofit projects etc.
We also work to a large degree at a European level, sharing working practices, learning experiences and expertise with other energy agencies and charities across the continent. Here are some examples of the projects we have worked on with others across Europe.
Biomethane Regions is a three-year project which seeks to promote anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas, along with the development of a market for the resulting biomethane.
The Covenant of Mayors is a nationwide club for local authorities wishing to go one step beyond the EU’s challenging 20-20-20 targets.
The ENNEREG is a Europe wide project aimed at demonstrating how regions can be a key driving force in fulfilling the EU’s 20-20-20 goals – 20% energy use reduction and 20% renewable energy production by the year 2020.
