Kierson joined SWEA in 2002 to take forward his interest in sustainable energy by running the community-based Lydney Local power project. With diverse experience in teaching English as a foreign language, youth work and traditional crafts, he brings a fresh perspective to the organization, and has already shown that he has the considerable persistence, commitment and diplomacy needed to work through the barriers to success faced by a community project of this scale.


Kierson has a Masters degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development which included working with Sustainable Energy Ireland to deliver a successful dissertation on Ground Source Heat Pump Technologies
