Introduction

SWEA is a charitable company, with a programme of work to develop the sustainable use of energy in the sub-region.

SWEA projects cover energy efficiency, renewable energy, affordable warmth and sustainable transport, and include the provision of an Energy Efficiency Advice Centre (EEAC) for households in Gloucestershire and a portfolio of other projects.

SWEA works in the South West and Mid Wales. We are also active in networks and project partnerships with other organisations throughout the UK and Europe.

Our Approach

Building out from its origins in the Forest of Dean, SWEA now employs nearly 30 staff across two offices. Working in partnership with local authorities, health authorities, government agencies, regional bodies, the private sector, a range of voluntary agencies, and other energy agencies across Europe, we have developed a portfolio of projects and services in energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable transport.
