WARM FRONT GRANT

Nationally available grants of up to £2,500 to provide loft, cavity wall and heating system improvements, as well as draught proofing and hot water tank insulation and low energy lightbulbs. Available to those on those on income related benefits who are over 60 or have a child under 16, or those on disability benefits/premiums.

 

WARM & WELL

Available to homeowners and private tenants in Gloucestershire. Targeted at people whose health is affected by the cold, living in fuel poverty and the general public. The scheme offers access to Warm Front grants (for people on benefits) Gloucestershire Energy Efficiency Grants (for people aged 60 on low income/over 70's or those people who are on benefits but exempt under Warm Front -Free insulation measures are available to everyone aged over 70 regardless of income and savings, these grants are dependent on Local Authority funding and Bulk Discounted prices (everyone eligible - price reduction available on insulation measures and free impartial quotes) *Measures include loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, draught proofing, thermostatic radiator valves, replacement of older or broken gas wall- hung boiler with a new gas condensing boiler and 2 low energy lightbulbs.

 

 SOLAR WARM & WELL

Available to homeowners in Gloucestershire. Solar Warm & Well offers grants for solar hot water systems. A combination of Governments Clear Skies and Local Authority grants offer a £900 discount on systems. For further information and/or arrange a free no obligation quote call 0800 512012

 

 WISE HOMES GRANTS - STROUD & COTSWOLD DISTRICT COUNCILS

Available to homeowners and private tenants living in homes with solid walls, sloping ceilings or not on mains gas network. FREE home energy survey and personalised energy efficiency advice appropriate to each property. Grants of up to £6000 available dependant on benefits, income or age. For measures such as solid wall insulation, sloping ceiling insulation and non mains gas heating systems. Also additional £500 grants available to top-up governments Clear Skies grants for renewable technologies such as solar hot water, heat pumps or wood pellet heating.

 

 HOME REPAIR ASSISTANCE - COTSWOLD DISTRICT COUNCIL

Grants of up to £5,000 for insulation and/or heating improvements. Available to Cotswold residents aged over 60 in many circumstances and people on benefits who do not qualify for Warm Front. Measures include loft and cavity wall insulation, draught proofing, thermostatic radiator valves, hot water tank jackets and reflecting radiator panels For more details call Cotswold District Council on 01285 623428.

 

 HOME REPAIR ASSISTANCE - CHELTENHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

As part of Warm & Well, Cheltenham Borough Council is running a Heating Scheme for Cheltenham borough residents only. The scheme is aimed at over 60's who fit certain income and savings criteria and households on certain qualifying benefits.

 

ENERGY EFFICIENCY GRANTS - STROUD DISTRICT COUNCIL

Affordable Warmth - 100% grant for heating system improvement up to a maximum of £3,500. If you cannot heat your home affordably due to low income/inefficient heating provision/a home that cannot be insulated adequately, help may be available. THE BIG GREEN BOILER SCHEME

Energy efficient condensing boilers available to buy at discounted prices from the Big Green Boiler Scheme. An incentive discount scheme is available to Corgi installers who use this scheme resulting in a lower quote for the householder. For more details call Thames Valley EEAC on 0800 028 2855.

 

FUEL SUPPLIER SCHEMES

Many fuel suppliers currently offer special deals for energy efficiency improvements.

For more details contact us and we can provide you with a list of those currently available (you do NOT have to receive your fuel from these companies to take advantage of their Energy Efficiency schemes, they are open to everyone)

 

 

This information is provided from the Gloucestershire Energy Efficiency Advice Centre, which is a free and impartial energy advice service and is available to all domestic households in the region. It is part of a national network of advice centres managed by the Energy Saving Trust, which is a non-profit distributing company supported by the Government and major energy companies.

The Gloucestershire Energy Efficiency Advice Centre is available to give free presentations to local community groups, voluntary organisations, clubs and schools. Our presentations are aimed at raising awareness of energy usage through demonstrations of energy saving measures, handy hints and grant information. The sessions can be tailored to suit different needs and interactive audience participation is always welcome.
