Ed joined SWEA in 2002 to coordinate the Local Authority Support Programme.

He is in an ideal position to provide this service, with a detailed knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities that local authorities have under the Home Energy Conservation Act and other legislation, as well as a thorough local's knowledge of Gloucestershire.

Prior to joining SWEA Ed spent two years as Energy Advice Officer at Cotswold District Council. Here he worked on new energy advice and awareness raising initiatives, the development of energy efficiency grant schemes, and improving the collection and management of housing energy efficiency data. Previous work placements at Warwickshire EEAC and in National Energy Action's "Rural Energy Awareness Project" have helped him give a wider perspective on the industry.
