Energy Efficiency Advice Centre 2001-4

  • written advice reports to 31,600 households

  • verbal advice to 7,200 households

  • 176 home visits

  • marketing and awareness activity targets exceeded every year

  • one of first EEACs to sign up to Code of Practice

Warm and Well

  • over 8,500 enquiries to scheme

  • 5,700 measures installed in around 1,800 homes

  • estimated 139,000 tonnes carbon dioxide saved over lifetime of measures

Community Renewables Initiative

  • grant funding secured for new renewable energy projects accessed by local organisations as a result of SWEA advice totals over £200,000

  • new installations at 3 different sites and funding agreed for 4 more

  • 20 community renewable energy projects under development

  • successful seminars on renewable energy delivered for:

    • farmers

    • Country Land and Business Association

Lydney Local Power:

  • funding secured for new Hydro power project

  • community wind power scheme under development

  • 499 new energy efficiency installations

Wye Local Power in partnership with AONB office:

  • solar club launched

  • community hydro power project under development
